I graduated from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1979. I did a rotating osteopathic internship in Jacksonville, Florida. Next I completed a Emergency Medicine Residency at Shand's Jacksonville where I was the Chief Resident. I did an Anesthesiology Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at Memorial Medical Center of Jacksonville. I taught several years in the Emergency Medicine Residency at Shands and was the Prehospital Care Coordinator there. I served as a member of the Board of Fire Surgeons for the Jacksonville Department of Public Safety and became the Assistant Medical Director for that department. I was an active member of the SERT Team and was invited to take high rise rescure woth the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office SWAT Team. I started responding with SWAT after that course. Thirty years later I just moved my practice from Eagle Pass, Tx where I am the Trauma Medical Director at Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center and the Assistant Medical Director for the Eagle Pass Fire Department. I also serve as the Tactical Medical Director for the Eagle Pass Police SWAT, Eagle Pass ISD SWAT and the Maverick County Sheriff's Office Tactical Team. I am the Staff Surgeon for the Army Command Component of the Texas State Guard. I have just started as an Emergency Physician at Shannon West Texas Medical Center in San Angelo, TX.
